Cedric Sorhaindo ready for BarcelonaThe transfer of Sorhaindo from Toulouse Union HB to Barcelona is now official. The Catalonian club has announced that the French player will join the club for the next three seasons. The French pivot talked about this possibility already some months ago. Sorhaindo started last season in the second French division playing for Paris Handball but moved to Toulouse in winter and has now closed the agreement with Barcelona. Cedric will replace Garabaya on the line. The Spanish pivot has left Barcelona to Naturhouse La Rioja. Enric Masip spoke very well about the new French pivot. "He is very strong and can help us in defence as well as in attack. He a very complete player, he is the pivot that we needed." The next Barcelona job opening is on the goalkeeper position. Barrufet has retired and a new partner for Saric is needed. There are rumours about SG Flensburg-Handewitt keeper Johan Sjöstrand moving to Barcelona. The Swedish player still has a contract with the German club, but Spanish press have written about an agreement between both clubs. TEXT: Fernando Urra Goñi |
