"Match of the Week" launches this weekendFollow the top matches of the VELUX EHF Men’s Champions League season live and on-demand at ehfTV.com with live English commentary this new season thanks to the new "Match of the Week". This new development on the European Handball Federation’s internet television platform, ehfTV.com, will see one specially selected match per round of the competition shown live with full English commentary from handball expert, Tom O’Brannagain, completely free of charge. Head of Media at EHF Marketing GmbH, Ulrich Gutweniger, said: "We’ve found a handball-mad professional in Tom, people are still talking about his enthusiastic commentary from the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne last season. I think he will bring a new level of excitement and interest to our coverage on ehfTV.com." ehfTV.com commentator, Tom O’Brannagain, said: "I can’t wait for the start of the new season and the chance to bring the fantastic action of the VELUX EHF Men’s Champions League to handball fans across the world. I’ll be commentating live at some of the best matches of the season, and will be doing my best to bring the amazing atmosphere at these venues to the fans at home." The ehfTV.com Match of the Week will launch on the first weekend of the VELUX EHF Men’s Champions League season with the match Montpellier Agglomeration HB against HSV Hamburg. Tom will travel to France to commentate the game live at the club’s brand new arena. The focus of the new initiative will be to offer a wide variety of matches featuring different clubs and venues to give handball fans a real flavour for the competition. Tom O’Brannagain commentated on the EHF Champion League 2008/2009 Final in Kiel and also covered the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2009/2010, commentating not only on all four games but also providing special video reports from Cologne. Tom, an Irish national, is a former handball player and is now coach of the Ireland national handball team.
