Rastko Stojković is currently in very good form, having scored 27 times in the first three games for KS Targi Vive Kielce. ehfCL.com talked to the line player after the game against THW Kiel.

ehfCL.com: In your last CL game you´ve scored 13 times against THW Kiel. Have you experienced anything like this before?

Rastko Stojković: Scoring so many goals against Kiel is certainly something special, but we didn’t win, and victories are the most important thing in handball.

ehfCL.com: Even so, you and your team have shown, in this third game, your best performance?

Rastko Stojković: That’s correct. In the first two matches, you couldn’t see that we are a good team. But now I’m confident that we have ’found’ ourselves and from now on, we’ll play as we would expect.

ehfCL.com: Normally, in the Polish league, you also play in defence. Today you played only in attack. Why was this?

Rastko Stojković: This was the decision of the coach. Probably I didn’t play in defence today so that all my stamina and power could be saved for the attack.

ehfCL.com: You switched clubs in the summer of 2009 and moved from Nordhorn, Germany to Kielce, Poland. How do you communicate in the new country?

Rastko Stojković: I use German to speak to the two Danes and also coach Bogdan Wenta. Many other players speak English. I am also learning Polish. It’s lucky that Polish and Serbian both belong to the Slavic languages. This means that I understand a lot of what’s being said.

The game between KS Vive Targi Kielce and Rhein Neckar Löwen is our „Match of the Week" and will be broadcasted live on our free of charge web stream on ehfTV.com, including English commentary by Tom O'Brannagain.
