Bebeshko seeks emotional return to SpainHC Dinamo-Minsk will have an important VELUX EHF Champions League game on Sunday. The home match against Swiss counterpart Kadetten Schaffhausen will be of great importance in the fight for a place among the Last 16. Dinamo’s coach Sergei Bebeshko confirms on the club’s website that it’ll be a crucial game: "We’re ready for the clash, but the only problem is that our last CL games took place over a month ago. We de-briefed and drew some conclusions from those games at the time, and we still need to remember well, and take on-board, what we discussed back then." "It’ll be necessary to have some different game plans available, so that we can turn to ‘plan B’ if ‘plan A’ doesn’t succeed," continued Bebeshko. Under the leadership of the Ukrainian-born coach, Dinamo won the first double in club history and are ready for more challenges: "We’ve reached several goals already, and now our focus is on this major competition. Our objective is to reach the next phase of the VELUX EHF Champions League. For this, we need to finish in the top four in our group. As the fourth-ranked team, we’d then prefer to play against Ciudad Real of Spain," continued the coach. Such a result, and a possible game against the Spanish team, would be a dream-come-true for Bebeshko, as he’d then return to Ciudad where he was a player for 7 years before also working for the club as assistant coach. "Last season we surprised our opponents with a 3-3 defensive tactic. Later, we modified that system to a 5-1 formation, and it brought us the title in the Belarussian Championship." "This year in our CL games we’ve made no mistakes in defence, although we’ve still lost a few games. Nevertheless, we’re on the right track," stated Bebeshko. "Our best game was the one against Pick Szeged. This match showed what we’re capable of, and if we can repeat this performance, we’ll taste success at the weekend," ended the coach optimistically.
