Montpellier and Hamburg in the Last 16Group B IK Sävehof – Montpellier Agglomeration 21:34 (10:16) The VELUX EHF Champions in the year 2010 is history now – and the last match before the winter and World Championship break brought an important decision on Monday evening: By winning clearly in Gothenburg against Sävehof 34:21 Montpellier Agglomeration has qualified as the second team after MKB Veszprem for the Last 16 with now ten points. And due to this result Hamburg is also through to the next stage with nine points, Kolding can only mathematically fail to go on. If Sävehof (2 points) want to reach the Last 16 they need to win all three matches in 2011, including the one against Kolding with an at least nine goal difference, and the Danes have to lose all matches. Montpellier had an easy day in Gothenburg after a much harder trip to Sweden due to the weather conditions in whole Europe. When Mladen Bojinovic scored the last and 34th goal he jumped for joy, knowing that the first objective was reached. Now Montpellier will try hard to overtake Veszprem (two points ahead) to fulfill their dream of becoming number one in their group. Having to play against the Hungarians at home the chance is there.
