EHF EURO 2012 Qualification Phase 1
In this initial phase of the 10th Women’s European Championship four teams – Greece, Great Britain, Finland and Israel – play for the two last places in the next tournament stage, Qualification Phase 2. Qualification Phase 1 will be played in a two-legged k.o.-system with the two fixtures Great Britain vs. Finland and Greece vs. Israel. The two legs will be played within two days at one venue per duel. The two matches in Great Britain and in Greece will be played on 03 resp. 04 June 2011 (first leg) and 04 resp. 05 June 2011 (second leg). Playing ScheduleFriday 03 June 2011 at 19:30 hrs (local time) Saturday 04 June 2011 at 19:30 hrs (local time) The winners of the duel between Great Britain and Finland will go into Group 3, together with Russia, Montenegro and Poland. Saturday 04 June 2011, at 16:30 hrs (local time) Sunday 05 June 2011, at 16:30 hrs (local time) The winners will go into Group 2, together with Romania, Serbia and Portugal. The starting gun for the EHF EURO 2012 in the Netherlands is ready to go off. The first phase of the tournament – Qualification Phase 1 – will be carried out between 03 and 05 June 2011.
