Norwegian coach takes over at Győri Audi ETO

Hungary´s recently-appointed National Team coach, Karl Erik Bøhn, replaces Csaba Konkoly as the head coach of Győri Audi ETO, following the departure of Konkoly a week ago.

The Norwegian’s contract will run until the end of this season. ETO President Ernő Kelecsényi commented: "In Bøhn we have found the best possible candidate for the rest of the season. During his stay in Hungary, he’s got to know the players very well and I’m confident that he can prepare the team to the highest standard for the next phase of the EHF Champions League."

"We will announce a permanent coach in the summer, and the main criterion will be that he or she can communicate well with the players that come to us from a variety of nations," the president added.

"It will be a great pleasure for me to coach this team, as it has the best squad in Europe right now. I hope that with the ambition of the players, coupled with appropriate handball coaching and team building, we’ll succeed with our aims," commented the new coach, following his appointment.

Győri Audi ETO start their Main Round campaign in February 2012, in a group that also contains last year’s finalists Larvik and Itxako, and Danish champions FC Midtjylland.
