Friday 27 January will see some of the top men’s national teams in Europe compete in the Beogradska Arena, Belgrade for the right to go through to the final of 10th Men’s EHF European Handball Championship on Sunday 29 January.

Over 50% of the players in these teams play for clubs in the VELUX EHF Champions League, including semi-finalist with Denmark, Mikkel Hansen who plays for AG Kobenhavn and is currently the joint top scorer in the VELUX EHF Champions League with 53 goals, and fans at EHF EURO 2012 have the chance to get even closer to the world's best players, once EHF EURO 2012 is over.

The VELUX EHF Champions League, currently taking a break from the Group Phase due to EHF EURO 2012, resumes its frenetic action on 8 February when the top 24 club teams in Europe battle it out to qualify through to the Last 16 with the hope of making the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne over the weekend of 26 and 27 May 2012.

Inside the Beogradska Arena today and on Sunday the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will have a promotional stand where handball fans from across Europe can find out any information about Europe’s best club handball event.

But more than that, fans will have the opportunity to meet Stefan Lövgren the official ambassador of the VELUX EHF FINAL4.

The former Swedish world champion and EHF Champions League winner is in Belgrade as part of the Swedish delegation and is looking forward to meeting fans here at EHF EURO 2012 and talking about the VELUX EHF FINAL4 with them.

“In my opinion the VELUX EHF FINAL 4 is among the greatest sports events in entire Europe,” says Lövgren about the showpiece weekend of handball.
