Füchse Berlin player suspended

Decision reached in the case of Füchse Berlin's Sven-Sören Christophersen.

The EHF Court of Handball has reached a decision in the case concerning the player Sven-Sören Christophersen from the German club, Füchse Berlin.

The player was directly disqualified by the referees in the last second (60"00) of the VELUX EHF Champions League match Füchse Berlin vs. Bjerringbro-Silkeborg on 25.02.12.

The EHF CoH panel found the action of the player in the last second of the match to be unsporstmanlike and has issued a one match suspension. The player will therefore not be eligible to play the Last 16 first leg match Füchse Berlin vs HSV Hamburg on 18.02.2012.

An appeal to the EHF Court of Appeal is possible within 7 days (by 19 March 2012).
