Kavticnik out for eight months

MAHB Montpellier face being without a key player for the next few months after in-depth medical investigations on Vid Kavticnik.

The Slovenian right-winger suffered a ruptured crucial ligament and a ruptured interior ligament in his left knee during the VELUX EHF Champions League match against FC Barcelona Intersport on Sunday, which his side went on to win 30:28.

After examinations by the team’s medical staff and doctors, it was agreed that Kavticnik needs to be operated on and will be out up to eight months.
