EHF Men's 18 European Championship Final Tournament Draw

The Final Tournament draw for the EHF Men's 18 European Championship will take place today (Tuesday 17 April) in die Welle, Hafen in Bregenz, Austria at 13:30 hrs (local time) and you can follow the draw event on www.eurohandball.com with our liveticker.

The qualification tournaments were staged in various cities across Europe with Iceland gaining the last position at the weekend (Sunday 15 April) for more details visit HERE.

38 M18 national teams contested 15 spots for the final tournament, alongside hosts Austria.  The tournament will be held between 12 and 22 July 2012 at the Arena Rieden/Vorkloster (Bregenz) and Sporthalle am See (Hard). 

The 16 qualified teams will be drawn into four groups of four teams each. Austria as the organiser will have the right to choose their group.

Directly qualified:
Organiser: AUT
Qualified from the Qualification Tournaments:

First ranked teams: CRO, NOR, DEN, GER, BLR, SWE, ISL, SUI, FIN, SRB
Second ranked teams: ROU, ESP, CZE, SLO, FRA

The participating teams are seeded as follows (based on the ranking of the 2010 M18 ECh in MNE):
POT 1: CRO, NOR, DEN, GER
POT 2: BLR, SRB, SUI, SWE
POT 3: ISL, FIN, AUT, ESP
POT 4: FRA, SLO, CZE, ROU
