Five newcomers in Krim

As soon as they had finished their EHF Women's Champions League season, Slovenian club Krim Mercator immediately started building a new team for next season by signing two Germans as well as players from Sweden, Brazil and Spain.

Mercator are aiming to reach the top spot in EHF Women's Champions League once again in the coming years and after finishing in the top eight this season, they are advancing plans to build a better team in Ljubljana for next season.

It is confirmed that 31-year-old playmaker Nina Wörz has signed as well as 23-year-old right back Susann Müller. Both played in Denmark for Randers last season.

Krim’s official Press Release said: "We are very pleased with these new signings. The players are highly motivated and are waiting anxiously for the first training sessions. We believe they are great additions to the squad for Krim.”

After visiting Ljubljana they also signed Sweden international Linnea Torstensson, a 29-year-old left back who will be playing in this position together with Andrea Penezić.

And before winning their 19th Slovenian Cup title last weekend in Brežice, they also confirmed that Brazilian Daniela Piedade and Spanish international Carmen Martin will move to Slovenia too. The pivot and right wing are part of coach Tone Tiselj's strategy to reach top spot in Europe.

It is not yet clear who else will leave Krim along with Gorica Ačimović, Kristina Bille Hansen and Andrea Šerić.
