Your chance to play golf with the stars: Auction in aid of German Cancer Aid

Auctions start on Thursday 10 May 2012.

The VELUX EHF FINAL4 is the highpoint of the European club handball season. On 26 and 27 May 2012 the four best teams in Europe will compete for the VELUX EHF Champions League title in Cologne’s LANXESS arena.

Through three special auctions, golf fans now have the opportunity to be a part of this mega handball event. All proceeds go to the charity partner of the VELUX EHF FINAL4, German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe).

On Friday 25 May 2012 the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Charity Golf Tournament powered by adidas will take place in the Velderhof Golf and Country Club near Cologne. The highest bidders in the three auctions can look forward to taking part in this special event and partnering Christian Schwarzer, Stefan Kretzschmar or Bogdan Wenta.

On Thursday, 10 May 2012 the bidding will start with the three exclusive auctions on eBay – and there is the chance to take part for ten days – up until 20 May 2012.

The day does not end with an exciting day of golf with the handball stars: the three successful bidders will also be invited to the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Opening Gala as special guests – to this otherwise invitation only event. Also included is a ticket for all four matches of the VELUX EHF FINAL4 on Saturday and Sunday.

Christian „Blacky“ Schwarzer is one of the leading figures in German handball following his successful handball career, and he is now coach of the German junior team. Stefan Kretzschmar was and is one of the most enigmatic figures in German sport. Since he retired from his active handball career, he has been working in the media and as a co-commentator. Bogdan Wenta is one of the biggest names in the world of handball. Born in Poland, he played for both the Polish and German national teams. In 2007 he was the coach of the Polish team that lost out to Germany in the dramatic final in the LANXESS arena.

This once in a lifetime experience is not available to buy. The three special packages are only available via the eBay auctions, which begin on Thursday, 10 May 2012 from 15.00 hrs with a round with Christian Scwarzer, at 16.00 hrs with Bogdan Wenta and 17.00 hrs with Stefan Kretzschmar.
