AGK start Danish league semi-final with a draw

Kobenhavn need home win to defend Danish title

AGK start Danish league semi-final with a draw

After drawing 26:26 in Kolding VELUX EHF FINAL4 participants need to win at home

One week before their semi-final at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne against Atletico Madrid, AG Kobenhavn need a victory on their home court to have the chance of defending their domestic title.

The current champions tied at KIF Kolding 26:26, and will play the second leg on home ground on Saturday.

The first semi was a real thriller with chances for both teams to take the victory. Nine goals from Mikkel Hansen were not enough to break the KIF resistance.

The match was like a roller coaster with constant changing leads and nearly no clear result with a difference of more than one goal.

After a great start the defending champions took control, before Kolding struck back. At half-time it was equal, 12:12, and in the final stages of the match AGK were in lead 25:24, but Kolding equalised in the final minute.

It was the second draw for AG Kobenhavn in this national league season, they also lost two matches in the round matches.

After the re-match of the semi the full concentration on Danish side will switch to their first ever appearance in the VELUX EHF FINAL4.
