Polish federation looks to recruit new national team coach

International search for new coach

Following the resignation of Bogdan Wenta as coach of the Polish national men’s team, the Polish Handball Federation has begun the search for a new coach for its national side.

The new trainer will be charged with preparing the team for the World Championship in Spain, assuming they beat Lithuania in their second leg play-off match on Sunday, 17 June. The Polish team won the first leg 24:17.

The Poles will be hoping to make up for their disappointment at missing the London 2012 Olympic Games by securing a spot in the World Championship in January.

Poland will play in Group 5 in the EHF EURO 2014 Qualification and will meet Sweden, Netherlands and the Ukraine, with the first matches throwing off at the end of October 2012.
