World Championship participants confirmed

The European Handball Federation has confirmed the European nations that have qualified for the World Championship, which will be played in Spain from 13 to 27 January 2013.

The nations are:

1. France (defending champions)
2. Spain (organiser)
3. Denmark (1st EHF EURO 2012)
4. Serbia (2nd EHF EURO 2012)
5. Croatia (3rd EHF EURO 2012)
6. FYR Macedonia
7. Slovenia
8. Germany
9. Hungary
10. Poland
11. Iceland
12. Montenegro
13. Russia
14. Belarus
