Organisers of the Women’s EHF European Handball Championship in Serbia have revealed the new official logo for the event, which will be played from 4-16  December 2012.

The logo, developed by Serbian graphic designer, Sasa Jelicic, who was also responsible for the corporate identity of the Men’s EHF EURO 2012, will form a distinctive part of the women’s national team event.

The Serbian Handball Federation was awarded with the organisation of the Women’s EHF European Handball Championship on 18 June 2012 following the withdrawal of the previous organiser.

The federation organised a highly successful Men’s EHF European Championship in January 2012 and, with the arenas and infrastructure already in place, the nation is well-placed to organise the16 team event.

The Serbian cities of Belgrade, Nis, Vrsac and Novi Sad will once again play host to Europe’s elite players.

Women’s national teams from Serbia, Norway (defending champions), Germany, Hungary, Romania, Montenegro, Russia, France, FYR Macedonia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Ukraine, Spain and Iceland will compete for the European title.
