Serbian champions sign two new Spanish playersThe ambitious Serbian champions RK Zajecar have signed two new Spanish players.
Alongside Marta Mangue, who spent last season in Serbia, the Serbian champions RK Zajecar have entered into contracts with two further Spanish players, line player Begona Fernandez (32) and centre back, Nuria Benzal (27).
She will also be a good reinforcement for our squad,” commented RK Zajecar's President, Milan Stankovic. Fernandez arrives from Spanish champions S.D Itxako.
She was voted onto the "All Star Team" at EHF EURO 2008 and World Championship in China 2009. “We have played against the same teams last year in Denmark. The only difference is that now Rostov-Don know how we play," commented the club president. "Of course, our wish is to play against Cluj in the Final. The Romanian team would be the favourite because of home advantage. "It is early to say anything more about our chances. Every team is in preparation for the new season. Our biggest wish is to play in the EHF Champions League for the first time,” says Stankovic. TEXT: Žika Bogdanović |
