Ferenc Ilyés joins Orlen Wisla PlockThe Hungarian international is leaving MKB Veszprém KC to join the Polish side, Plock, ahead of their VELUX EHF Champions League wildcard qualification tournament on 8/9 September. The transfer is important for Plock following the injury to Piotr Chrapkowski, who will be out for five months with a serious shoulder injury. The 30-year old left back has signed a two year contract until 2014. Ilyés started his professional career in the Romanian team HC Odorheiu Secuiesc in his hometown and represented the club until 2000. He then left Romania and spent seven seasons in SC Pick Szeged. Meanwhile, Ilyés moved to Makói KC on loan to get more experience. His next club was MKB Veszprém KC, where he won EHF Cup Winners' Cup in 2008. After his contract ended in 2009, he joined TBV Lemgo on a two year deal. He took the EHF Cup title with the German team in 2010. Ilyés re-joined MKB Veszprém KC in January 2011. "MKB Veszprém KC accepted my resignation so I could join Orlen Wisla Plock. I've already trained with my new club. Our goal is a qualify to Champions League during wild card tournament," Plock's new player Ferenc Ilyés told the club's MKB Veszprém KC website.
