TV Schedule - VELUX EHF Champions League Qualification

More than a dozen matches to be broadcast during the weekend as a first taster of the new season.

TV Schedule - VELUX EHF Champions League Qualification

Handball fans - not only across Europe - will be served with a taster of the new season of the VELUX EHF Champions League during the coming weekend 8/9 September. More than a dozen matches of the Qualification Phase will be broadcast by ten television stations. This number could still increase - if HSV Hamburg qualify for the final of the Wild Card Tournament, Eurosport Germany will also broadcast the deciding match of the Hanseatic team.

Sixteen teams of the VELUX EHF Champions League Qualification groups will meet in four Qualification Tournaments on 8/9 September 2011. The group matches will be played in a knock-out format – with two semi-finals on the first day and the 3/4 placement match and the final on the second day. Only all four winners will qualify for the Main Round. Additionally, another ticket for the Group Phase will be at stake in the Qualification Matches between HC Minsk (BLR) and Besiktas JK (TUR).
