VELUX supports handball's fansWhen the matches in this season’s VELUX EHF Champions League are played there will be more at stake than the results in the handball arena. On the website handballenergy.com, fans from all over Europe can now help support their favourite team in the tournament and win a cash prize for their team’s official fan club. Michael K. Rasmussen, Marketing Director for the VELUX Group, explained: “The European fans are the heart of the VELUX EHF Champions League. At the end of the day, they are what it’s all about – so, as title sponsor, we would like to give them something in return. "Our way of doing that is by hosting a competition where one of the teams’ official fan clubs can win 3000 euro to create a unique fan activity at a local VELUX EHF Champions League match." The 'support your team' activity runs from 26 September to 26 November 2012 and it is free for anybody to place his/her vote. Participants are only allowed to place their vote once and it is only the official fan club of the winning club that can win the prize. The winner will be announced 28 November 2012. Predict and win VIP tickets Through another competition handball fans can also win two VIP tickets to a Group Phase match of their choice during this season. They just have to predict the correct results of the next round of the VELUX EHF Champions League. Winners will be notified the day after the last match of each round and published on handballenergy.com More initiatives on the way The website handballenergy.com was launched by the VELUX Group in connection with the final round event, the VELUX EHF FINAL4, in 2012. Although the fan club competition is the first of its kind on the website, it is not the only activity on the website that will be of interest to the fans.
