BLOG: It's already a final for us

The back player of Kadetten Dissinger was sidelined for a couple of days by flu, but still hopes for two points from match against Zagreb

BLOG: It's already a final for us

Kadetten Schaffhausen are on alert. The Swiss champions entered the new season with a losing streak and as early as in the Round 3 of the VELUX EHF Champions League, they are in the dangerous zone on the last position of Group D with no points.

The home match against RK Croatia Osiguranje Zagreb, who are considered to be one of their main rivals in the race for a ticket in the Last 16, will be a survival fight for Kadetten.

Only points matter for the rising star from Schaffhausen - Christian Dissinger who gives us his insight views on this important match in his first of a regular blog for ehfCL.com:

The second match was played and we lost again. It's very hard to explain what happened but that's sport! We played 50 minutes well and we were the better team but at the end the Szeged showed us how to win a match! It were all our own mistakes which put Szeged on the road to their victory.

I had so many thoughts after the match “why we lost” but we have to look forward to the next match, today against Zagreb. I did not practice this week as I have had the flu so i hope I am able to play today.

It's already a FINAL for us if we want to have a chance and keep the doors open to go into the next round after the Group Phase of the VELUX  EHF Champions League. Funny enough is that Zagreb is our rival in the Group Phase again. Last season we weren’t too successful and lost twice against them. The games were pretty tight but this year we want to beat this team from Croatia.

Still Zagreb is the favorite as they played much better in the first two matches of this year’s VELUX EHF Champions League than us. I'm sure it will be a very hard fight over 60 minutes and hopefully with a good end for us to gain the first two points ...!

ehfTV.com will be livestreaming the match live from 20.00 hrs (local time) on Thursday 11 October.
