Former winners of Challenge Cup (2001 and 2009) from Nimes awarded with default win 20:0 and qualified for the Last 16.


Bačka Palanka withdraw from Women´s Challenge Cup

After having registered for the 2012/13 Women's Challenge Cup in June, the club WHC Bačka Palanka-Nopal has officially withdrawn from the competition.

The Serbian club should have played the first leg of the Round 3 against France´s HBC Nimes on the upcoming weekend, 10-11 November on the home court and the second leg one week later in France.

After their withdrawal the former winners of Challenge Cup (2001 and 2009) from Nimes were awarded with default win 20:0 and qualified for the Last 16.

The European Handball Federation will handover this case to the Legal Department within the EHF Office to take further steps.

In total, 16 teams will be in action in the Round 3 of the Women´s Challenge Cup.
