Young prospects of Italian handball from the national federation´s project Futura Roma will make their European cup competitions debut.


Women's Challenge Cup Round 3, first leg preview

In total, 16 teams will be in action in Round 3 of the Women´s Challenge Cup with first leg matches to be played 9-11 November and the second leg scheduled for 16-18 November.

After the withdrawal of WHC Bačka Palanka-Nopal the former winners of Challenge Cup (2001 and 2009) from HBC Nimes were awarded with a default  20:0 win and qualify for the Last 16. Three more teams will follow the French side by Sunday 11 November, as in three cases both legs will be played over this weekend.

Azerbaijan´s Abu Baku will play host to Turkish team Anadolu University SC, AZS Politehnika Koszalin will stage both matches against HC Dnepryanka Kherson from Ukraine at home in Poland as will Greece´s AC PAOK who face another Polish side KSS Kielce in Thessaloniki.

The young prospects of Italian handball from the national federation´s project Esercito FIGH Futura Roma will make their European Cup competition debut against Sweden´s H65 Höör.
