Orsolya Herr is back home in Györ

Goalkeeper Orsolya Herr is back with Györi Audi ETO KC after a three year absence. She speaks about her new experiences with the club, the performances in the Women's EHF Champions League, and how it feels to be home again.

ehfCL.com: How much the team has changed in the last few years? How did you settle in?
Orsolya Herr: It has changed a lot, many foreign players have arrived. Fortunately I do not have problems with the language, I can communicate with my coach and my team mates. The city and my flat have not changed, so I guess it is like I have come home.

ehfCL.com: When you left Győr, you said you need more opportunities to play. Now your team mate is Katrine Lunde Haraldsen who is one of the best goalkeepers in the World. How do you see this situation now?
Orsolya Herr: Yes, when I have left Győr I was playing together with Katalin Pálinger who was the no.1 goalie in the national team. At the time I was 23-24 years old, so I had to play more in order to develop. I do not regret my choice because I felt really good in Vác and in Siófok. I now have more opportunities to play in Győr than I did three years ago.

ehfCL.com: Are you suggesting that Ambros Martín gives more players the chance to play in each match?
Orsolya Herr: Yes, he said at the beginning of the season that he needs a real team. He does not want to play with only seven players through the whole season.

ehfCL.com: Raphaëlle Tervel has just arrived in Győr. Can she help the goalkeepers?
Orsolya Herr: A lot! Our defence is excellent. If you see our previous matches we have conceded very few goals. They learnt a 5-1 defence in Itxako with Ambros Martín, and now they have transferred it successfully to Győr.

ehfCL.com: Do you feel that it has been a promising start to the EHF Champions League group stage?
Orsolya Herr: Yes, I am very happy that we have not had any setbacks so far. I hope we can keep the same level in the next rounds.

ehfCL.com: You will play against Podravka on Sunday. How would you describe them?
Orsolya Herr: They are our strongest opponent in the group, because they are playing together for a long time. The squad of Krim has changed a lot and they also have many injured players, and their performances show that. Tatari is now injured for Podravka, and I guess she cannot travel to EHF EURO 2012 either. I expect a tough fight against the Croatians as our first match was also tight at the beginning. We also have to be careful in our last group match against Cluj because they are really good fighters. We felt in Romania that they did not give up, even when we were leading by five or six goals.
