Paris add two VELUX EHF Champions League players to their all-star team
Parisian super-team, Paris Saint-Germain, have announced the signing of two new players for next season.
The club, currently leading the French league and look on course to take part in next season's VELUX EHF Champions League, signed Igor Vori and Fahrudin Melic for next season.
Igor Vori, Croatian national team line player and currently playing with HSV Hamburg, won the World Championship in 2003 and the 2004 Olympics with Croatia.
Montenegrin Fahrudin Melic will be joining from Slovenian team Gerenje Velenje.
At 28, Melic is seen as one of the rising stars on the right wing and has had the best season of his career, already scoring 44 goals in 7 VELUX EHF Champions League games this season.
Both players have signed a two year contract with the team. However, they won't be Paris' only new players, as the club is still looking for another centre back, with various big names being rumoured.
PSG will add to an already impressive roster, which includes the Croatian Marko Kopljar, Danish superstar Mikkel Hansen, and French wingers Luc Abalo and Samuel Honrubia.
Philippe Gardent, Paris' head coach said on Infosport: "Of course I'm very happy. They are two players with very different profiles.
“Igor will help us with his experience, he's won nearly everything, and he's very hungry to win the Champions League in the next couple of years.
“Fahrudin is younger, he's got a lot of potential and he shows it every weekend with Velenje. Coming here will be him taking another step in his career."
