Mogensen dreams of EHF EURO 2014

Mogensen dreams of EHF EURO 2014

Playmaker Thomas Mogensen has announced his willingness to play again for the Danish national team, just like his teammate at German side SG Flensburg-Handewitt, fellow Dane Michael Knudsen, did a few days ago.

As eurohandball.com reported, line player Michael Knudsen, who was not available for the World championship in Spain, is now willing to play for his country again, and the same applies to Mogensen who has not been at national coach Ulrik Wilbek's disposal for the entire current season.

"Obviously it is not my own decision, whether to play in the national team again or not, but as I have said before, playing a European Championship on home ground would be just great for me,” 29-year-old Mogensen told the Danish TV station TV3Sport.

"At the beginning of this season I felt that I needed a break from the national team, but after this season I am available again, if Ulrik (Wilbek) can find use for me," Mogensen added.

Mogensen was part of the team that won the EHF EURO title in January 2012 in Serbia. In eight matches he scored 18 goals.
