Randers sign talented line player
Denmark’s Women´s EHF Champions League Main Round participants, Randers HK, have signed Danish international Kathrine Heindahl on a two year contract.
The 20-year-old line player, who has made her debut in the Danish senior national team and was captain of Denmark´s U20 team at the Women’s Junior World Championship last summer, is joining from league rivals and EHF Cup participants, Team Tvis Holstebro.
“I have followed my feelings. I find that things look really interesting in Randers, and I think that my chances for personal development seem to be good,” Kathrine Heindahl told Randers HK´s website.
“I am going to contribute with a lot of physical strength and fight at both ends of the court, and I believe that we can stay among the best, in Danish as well as in international handball.
“One of my future goals is to be a regular candidate for the Danish national team, and obviously I hope that this change will bring me closer to that goal,” added Heindahl.
“Kathrine is strong at both ends of the court. For a player her age she has an impressive physical strength, from which I am sure we are going to benefit next season.
“Furthermore, Kathrine is very serious about her sport and she strives to develop constantly.
“She will be a good match for Randers HK and the values we stand for,” Randers´ head coach Jan Leslie said about his new player.
Randers HK have lost all three main round matches so far, and are in desperate need of a win against Budućnost on Saturday, 2 February at 15:00 CET.
