Preview of the Women´s Cup Winners' Cup Quarter-finalsThe Hungarian club Váci NKSE is the only side on the quarter-finals starting grid in the Women´s Cup Winners' Cup without any experience from this season of the Women´s EHF Champions League. Every other outfit have competed either in the qualification or in the group matches of the premier continental tournament. The first leg of quarter-finals will be played 9/10 March, second leg one week later. The semi-finals are scheduled for 6/7 April (first leg) and 13/14 April (second leg).
Balonmano Bera Bera (ESP) vs Thüringer HC (GER) Spanish side hope to ride on the winning wave which brought them to the quarter-finals at the expense of the Polish champions from Gdynia, despite losing by 12 goals in the first leg. However, they face Thüringer HC, who managed to beat the defending champions of the European top flight Budućnost Podgorica in the group stage.
Dinamo Volgograd (RUS) vs Hypo NÖ (AUT) Just a few days after the head coach András Németh announced his intention to leave Hypo NÖ the four-time EHF Champions League winners and record Austrian champions will take on the reigning Russian title holders Dinamo Volgograd. The more successful team will meet with the winners of Bera Bera vs THC encounter.
Váci NKSE (HUN) vs Issy Paris Hand (FRA) After Vác upset the Croatian champions Podravka in the last 16 they will try to challenge the French hosts of the wild card tournament of the EHF Champions League Issy Paris Hand.
Rostov-Don (RUS) vs HC Leipzig (GER) The highest ranked team of the previous season of the Cup Winners' Cup HC Leipzig will have to overcome the Russian side Rostov-Don, if they want to repeat their trip to the semi-finals again.
