Young players in Norwegian squad
There were no potential debutants in the squad Norway´s national coach Robert Hedin announced Tuesday for the upcoming EHF EURO 2014 qualifiers against France.
However, there were several young and relatively inexperienced players among the 19 names.
Only three players, left back Erlend Marmelund, playmaker Børge Lund and line player Bjarte Myhol, have played more than 100 internationals. However, Hedin expects pretty much the same to be the case for his opponents.
“It will be interesting to see France. I know they will be coming with 20 players which means that they will probably be testing some young players.
“That may be our chance to beat them. At least I am sure we can win our home match against them. Absolutely,” Hedin said at the press conference where the squad was announced.
