Second leg preview of the Challenge Cup Quarter-finalsAll four semi-finalists of the Men´s Challenge Cup will be known on Saturday evening. After the first leg Handball Esch, IL Runar and CSU Suceava are closer to the top four. The first leg of the match SKA Minsk vs Radnički Kragujevac will be played only on this Friday.
SKA Minsk (BLR) vs Radnički Kragujevac (SRB)
Radnički Kragujevac (SRB) vs SKA Minsk (BLR) The both legs will take place in the Belarusian capital, but not only the home court advantage puts the army club from Minsk into a role of favourites. They just won the Baltic league in a very impressive fashion losing only one match out of 14.
Handball Esch (LUX) vs Initia Hasselt (BEL)
If the winners of the Benelux league main round want to enjoy more of European handball this season they have to cope with the shooting efficiency of Martin Muller from Handball Esch. The Luxembourgish international scored 12 goals in the first leg leading his team to a two-goal advantage against Hasselt.
One goal cushion from the first leg does not mean anything for Runar in the Norwegian derby with Drammen. However, the home advantage can do, as both teams will meet again on the court of Runarhallen in Sandefjord. There were four Romanian clubs at the start of the European season, but only Suceava have a fair chance to survive March now. Three goals lead from Turkey might be a good base for a progression. If Suceava qualify to the semi-finals, they will meet with the winner of the Benelux derby.
