Instant sell-out for Kielce

Fans waste no time in securing their seats for the second leg against Skopje

Instant sell-out for Kielce

Vive Targi Kielce will have the support from a hall full of passionate fans in the second leg of their first VELUX EHF Champion League Quarter-final appearance against HC Metalurg Skopje after all of the tickets were sold in less than two minutes.

It will be the most important match of the year for Bogdan Wenta's team and the interest in tickets prove just that, as 11,000 fans attempted to purchase tickets in the space of just 25 minutes.

"In Kielce and the Swietokrzyskie region, people love handball, it's some kind of religion.

"However, for this match we had a lot questions about tickets from handball fans all over Poland," Kielce's marketing manager, Pawe Papaj, told ehfCL.com.

"The interest in the game is so huge, if we could play in the hall like the LANXESS Arena in Colonge, I suppose it would be full too," explains Papaj.

Both Kielce and Skopje will participate in the quarter-finals for the first time and the second leg will be played at the Hali Legionów in Kielce with a capacity of 4200 spectators.

"The atmosphere in our hall is always hot. We all know that we can achieve a historic result, but before the game both teams have an even chance," added Papaj.

There will be a special fan zone outside of the hall, where the game will be shown live on a large screen for the several thousand people who could not buy the ticket.

"We will open it a few hours earlier and there will be lots of activities for fans. I hope the whole country will enjoy the experience along with us on the day, especially in the hall and a few thousand at the front of the hall," concluded Papaj.
