Serbian club WHC Backa Palaka-Nopal and Macedonian club HC Ovce Pole punished for withdrawing from European Cup competitions


EHF Court of Handball decisions reached

The EHF Court of Handball has released two decisions in the cases concerning the Serbian club WHC Backa Palaka-Nopal and the Macedonian club HC Ovce Pole. The clubs respectively withdrew from the Women’s Challenge Cup and the Men’s Challenge Cup.

The clubs are fined 10,000€ for withdrawing from the European Cups and are excluded from participating in any handball club competition organised or authorised by the EHF for the 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.

The punishment applied is due to Article C.2 of the EHF List of Penalties and Article 2.7/2.7.1 of the EHF European Cup Regulations.

The clubs did not appeal within the seven day period.
