Danes still hoping for their top scorer
Lars Møller, coach of the Danish men´s beach handball team is still hoping to have his top scoring player, Hans Lindberg, in his team for the European Beach Handball Championship at home in July.
The right winger from HSV Hamburg and a Danish international in indoor handball is still a possibility for the championship in Randers from 9-14 June, but his participation has not yet been confirmed.
Lindberg is currently the top scorer in the VELUX EHF Champions League with 88 goals.
At the moment, Lindberg will not be part of the squad when preparation for the championship begins in the small town of Tommerup on Funen island on 7-9 June, he will be competing in the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in Cologne with HSV on 1 and 2 June.
Nevertheless, Møller is quite content with the squad he announced on Wednesday.
“It is an interesting squad with a stock of experienced players. I am really looking forward to start working and to have some training sessions with the team,” Lars Møller told the website of the Danish Handball Federation when announcing the extended squad for the event which boasts several league players from indoor handball, and a mix of new and experienced players who have been present at previous championships.

The European Beach Handball Championships for men and women will take place in Randers from 9 to 14 July 2013.
