First VELUX EHF FINAL4 for KielceBogdan Wenta, headcoach “This form of EHF Champions League is great. To see all the logistics and preparations, that event can only happen in Germany. We were invited last year, saw this and said “We have to get here” and that it happened only one year later is great. This form of Champions League is the best that can happen to clubs like ours. You can learn a lot from the matches as it is not only one home and one away match and then you’re out. Barcelona is very experienced and they have good players. We are excited, there are high expectations as you can see with all the media being here. But we are realistic. We gained respect already with being here but we have to show it on the court. In sports, there’s always a chance.” Krzysztof Lijewski "FC Barcelona Intersport is a very strong team, every position is covered twice. We have to play a good attack. For the fans, this is a great event. They will never forget this weekend. The first participation of a Polish team is very special. It is special for the whole region and Kielce because nobody expected that we join the VELUX EHF FINAL4. Barcelona has the pressure because they have to win. We have to focus on ourselves and we have nothing to lose.” Ivan Cupic “We have to find some stuff about their defence! We will try to play our best game over 60 minutes. Our strengths are our goalkeepers and our defence.” TEXT: Julien Philippe |
