Statements from the post-match conference

Bogdan Wenta, KS Vive Targi Kielce - coach:
"Congratulations to Barcelona. They controlled the whole game. They have a great team. It was very hard for us to score. Every mistake was punished immediately. We had the idea to bring a seventh player in but it did not work.

"Perhaps we were a bit too optimistic in our training but Barcelona were really strong.

"We still have a fight tomorrow for the third place but after this season, I have to thank my team, Cologne and the EHF for this fantastic event."

Uros Zorman, KS ViveTargi Kielce - player:
"Congratulations to Barcelona. They were leading over almost the whole game and they deserve the victory. I wish them good luck for the final tomorrow."

Xavi Pascual, FC Barcelona Intersport - coach:
"Congratulations to a great team of Kielce. They made it really hard for us today. Also congratulations to our hockey team who are in the lucky position to play the final tomorrow.

"It was a hard and tough match like all the matches in the Champions League are supposed to be. I think my team controlled the rhythm of the game and that is why we were able to win.

"I’m very happy that we are going to play the final tomorrow."

Juan Garcia, FC Barcelona Intersport - player:
"It was a match like we expected it to be. It was physically very hard and Kielce had a great defence. In the second half, we tried to recover lost balls to make easy goals through counter attacks.

"That is where we made the difference. I am very happy we won the match and I am looking forward to tomorrow."
