Estonia qualify for EHF EURO 2016 play-offsGroup C: Estonia vs. Belgium 32:23 (14:11) After Greece and Finland had qualified for the play-offs of the EHF EURO 2016 qualification beforehand, Estonia became the last team to follow them to the next qualification phase on the road to the final tournament in Poland. The team from the Baltic nation beat Belgium in their final match in group C confidently 32:23 (14:11) and remained with a clear record after four matches. Estonia, Greece and Finland will face one the three lowest fourth ranked teams of the EHF EURO 2014 qualification respectively in play-off matches which will be played in April 2014. The three aggregate winners of these matches qualify for the seven qualification groups that will determine the 16 teams for the final tournament in Poland in 2016. Mait Patrail from German side Hannover-Burgdorf was the match winner for Estonia, scoring eight goals. For Belgium a grand name in the world of handball became top scorer: Kopljar, not Marko, but Ivan netted seven times for the visiting team that would have needed to win by at least eight goals to overtake the Estonians following the 24:31 home defeat in the first leg.
