Playing schedule for 2013 Women's World Championships released

The 24-nation final tournament will throw off in December with overall 12 European teams participating. Norway, seeded in Group C, look for a successful title defense but are likely to be challenged by Montenegro that broke the Scandinavian's dominance at the EHF EURO 2012


Playing schedule for 2013 Women's World Championships released

The International Handball Federation has released the playing schedule for the 2013 Women's World Championships in Serbia in December this year.

There will be 12 European teams competing in the 24-nation tournament, including defending champions, Norway, and EHF EURO 2012 gold medallists, Montenegro.

The participating teams have been seeded in four groups of six teams each. The top four of each group will advance to the first knockout stage.

The first group matches throw off on 7 December, the final takes place on 21 December.
