Germany enjoy a day off - or not

Thursday (22 August) was a day off for the teams at the Women's 17 EHF EURO in Poland as no matches were scheduled.

However, no handball does not necessarily mean free time as tournament photographer Jakub Gucma discovered when he followed the German team.

They took to the gym where a weight session prepared them for Friday's cross match against the Netherlands. If Germany win, they will play for ninth place and have qualified for next years Women's Youth World Championship.

The semi-finals Denmark vs. Sweden and Russia vs. Portugal also throw off on Friday. For a complete final tournament overview click here.
