Women's EHF EURO 2014 Qualification streamed live

NEWS REPORT: When the qualification for the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 throws off on 23 October, handball fans will have chance to follow the action live on ehfTV.com. For the first time five matches will be streamed live on the European Handball Federation’s online TV platform.


Women's EHF EURO 2014 Qualification streamed live

In the EHF’s approach to widen the coverage of European handball and make it available to a worldwide audience, a designated Women’s EHF EURO 2014 Qualification channel has been created on ehfTV.com.

Five matches from Rounds 1 and 2 of the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 Qualification will be streamed live between 23 and 27 October. These matches are

  • Group 5: Sweden vs. Slovenia, 23 October 2013 at 19:15 hrs.
  • Group 2: France vs. Slovakia, 24 October 2013 at 19:15 hrs.
  • Group 1: Denmark vs. Austria, 24 October 2013 at 21:00 hrs.
  • Group 6: Norway vs. Romania, 27 October 2013 at 16:15 hrs.
  • Group 7: Russia vs. Germany, 27 October 2013 at 18:00 hrs.

The schedule is correct as of 14 October 2013. All matches will be available on demand afterwards. Geo-blocking might apply in certain markets. Please note that all times are local.

The matches that have been chosen feature some of the best teams in European women’s handball including EHF EURO record champions and current world and Olympic champions, Norway, and Russia, world champions in 2001, 2005, 2007 and 2009.

In the future, the project is planned to be extended and qualification matches from upcoming qualification rounds in 2014 will also be streamed on ehfTV.com.

The Women’s EHF EURO 2014, the EHF’s flagship national team event, will take place in Hungary and Croatia from 7 to 21 December 2014.
