Extensive social media coverage for 2nd EHF Scientific Conference

The European Handball Federation and the Union of University Handball Teachers (UUHT) will hold the second edition of the EHF Scientific Conference (Scientific and Practical Approaches) in Vienna from 22 to 23 November 2013.

The goal of the conference is to bring professional and scientific experts together in order to describe and formulate problems of modern women‘s handball on all organisational levels and forms (male/female, youth, beach handball, street handball, handball for people with disabilities), mainly in the areas: 'Humanities', 'Natural Sciences' and 'Training and the Game'.

More than 60 different topics have already been agreed upon and will be presented in either oral or poster form.

Prior to the presentations a two-hour medical symposium will be held by a group of Danish sports physicians. For more information please refer to the final programme.

At the accreditation desk prior to the conference all participants will be provided with a booklet containing all abstracts.

Following the conference 'The EHF Scientific Conference 2013 Book of Articles' will be published. It will include the entire articles of the medical mini-symposium, of all oral and poster presentations, as well as five additional articles that have been submitted but will not be presented.

The conference secretariat is pleased to announce that a record number of articles has been received, and it thanks all authors and co-authors for their article contributions.

The conference goes social media

For the first time there will be extensive social media coverage throughout the conference. Updates on the event will be posted on the EHF CAN Facebook page and on the EHF Media Twitter account.

Twitter walls at the venue will allow everyone to view what is being posted and to get involved in the online discussions through the official hashtag, #ehfSC.

Participants are encouraged to be active online in the build-up and during the event and by doing so spreading news of the conference to a wider audience.

More information can be found in the conference's fifth announcement. The conference secretariat can be contacted via mail to hoeritsch@eurohandball.com or by calling +43 1 801 51 155.
