Noon draw to determine the Last 16 pairings

There are still some pieces of the Last 16 puzzle to put together over the upcoming weekend, however 15 out of 16 have already secured their place in the first knock-out stage on the way to the VELUX EHF FINAL4.

The draw of the VELUX EHF Champions League Last 16 will take place on Tuesday, 25 February, at 12:00 hrs local time at the EHF Office in Vienna and it will be live streamed on ehfTV.com with commentary from Tom O Brannagain.

While Zagreb (vs St. Petersburg) and Zaporozhye (vs Veszprem) will play for the last ticket in the Last 16 on Saturday, there is still plenty to fight for in other matches as only six teams have clinched their positions in a particular pot.

Veszprem, Kiel and Barcelona have cemented their group victory and Pot 1 positions, while Rhein Neckar Löwen will certainly end up in the Pot 2, Celje in the Pot 3 and Plock in the Pot 4.

A fourth ranked team of the group phase will play the first match at home against a first ranked team except against the winner of its own group of the Group Phase.

A third ranked team of the Group Phase will play the first match at home against the second ranked team except against the second ranked team of its own group of the Group Phase.

The first leg is scheduled for 19-23 March, the second leg will be played 26-30 March. The winning teams of the Last 16 qualify for the quarter-finals.
