Court of Handball fines Rostov-Don

The EHF Court of Handball has released a decision following legal proceedings opened against the Russian club Rostov-Don.

The club shall pay a €1.000 fine for having failed to inform the EHF, respectively EHF Marketing, whether a host broadcast of the 2013/14 Women’s Cup Winners’ Cup Last 16 and Quarter-final (1st leg) would take place.

According to article 3.2.1.4 of the 2013/14 European Cup Regulations, the right holder (home clubs, except for the final) has the obligation to inform the EHF, respectively EHFM, if a host broadcast is to take place.

The club was therefore sanctioned according to article A.1 a) of the EHF Legal Regulations.

An appeal may be filed with the EHF Court of Appeal within seven days.
