The EHF Cup Finals attacks new heights in its second edition already at its draw. The semi-final pairings will be determined in a height of over 200 metres as the famous landmark of Berlin, the TV Tower, will host the drawing of semi-final lots.

The draw will take place on Tuesday, 29 April at 11:45 hrs local time and will be preceded by the official press conference, which will be attended also by Frank Henkel, Senator for Interior Affairs and Aports of the City of Berlin. He will also conduct the draw together with the EHF Secretary General Michael Wiederer.

Open draw

All four teams will be drawn from the same pot. The EHF Cup Finals draw will be completely open, what means that there is no seeding and two teams who already played together in the group phase can face each other.

Both semi-final games will be played on Saturday 17 May, followed by the 3/4 placement match and the final on Sunday 18 May. The playing times will be announced in due time.

Füchse still waiting for other participants

Füchse Berlin are the only confirmed team of the 2014 EHF Cup Finals as the tournament’s hosts secured their place by winning their group in the group phase. Six teams are still vying for three remaining tickets in the quarter-finals.

Before the second leg, which is scheduled for the upcoming weekend (26/27 April) HCM Constanta are in a driving seat in their tie with Lugi HF as they take a ten-goal cushion to Sweden.

Montpellier Agglomeration HB will start the second leg on home court with a one-goal lead after their away victory at Nantes and Pick Szeged are trailing by two goals before their quarter-final affair with Sporting CP moves to Hungary.
