The VELUX EHF FINAL4 goes radio

NEWS REPORT: EHF starts joint project with the European Broadcasting Union offering audio coverage of the European club handball highlight

The VELUX EHF FINAL4 goes radio

We have stories, we have video clips, we have pictures – and now for the first time in 2014 the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will come to those who think that radio is by far the best of all media.

Joining forces with the European Broadcasting Union, the EHF Media Team working in Cologne will be strengthened by experienced radio journalist Karoline Zobernig.

The 28-year-old has been working freelance since 2012 for Austrian public broadcaster ORF and successfully participated in the EBU’s young reporters programme, covering races of the biathlon world cup series this winter.

At the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Karoline Zobernig will provide packaged radio reports from the matches as well as the side events. She will furthermore put together a podcast from Friday to Sunday, summarising and guiding the fans through the highlights of each day.

As a media service she will be in the mixed zone after the games, providing easily accessible audio statements from players which enable radio stations to provide their listeners with comprehensive coverage of the event.

All her reports will be available via the EHF Champions League SoundCloud account – to get started, Zobernig has already covered the quarter-finals and the following draw.
