Palmarsson bound for FINAL4 opponentsAron Palmarsson is set to join MKB-MBM Veszprem KC next summer after signing a three-year contract with the Hungarian club, confirmed a report on the club’s official website. The VELUX EHF FINAL4 MVP will follow former teammates Momir Ilic and Christian Zeitz to the club which made its debut in Cologne this season.
In Cologne, the 24-year-old Icelandic international gave his future employers a first-hand experience of what they can expect, as he was instrumental in Kiel’s semi-final win over Veszprem, leading all scorers with seven goals, followed by six in the defeat to Flensburg a day later. Palmarsson will join the club in the summer of 2015, giving him one more season to claim his third VELUX EHF Champions League title with THW Kiel before he joins the ambitious club, who will welcome Zeitz and EHF Cup winning goalkeeper Roland Mikler to the squad for the 2014/15 season.
