10,000 tickets sold for 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4Tickets for the next edition of the VELUX EHF FINAL4 have been selling incredibly quickly since they went on sale to fans in the LANXESS arena over the VELUX EHF FINAL4 weekend and on general release via the ehfFINAL4.com website on Monday 2 June. A total of 6,000 tickets were sold over the VELUX EHF FINAL4 weekend. Additionally, 2,000 tickets are reserved for the four participating teams, which will go on sale in May 2015. The VELUX EHF FINAL4 will return for the sixth time to Cologne’s LANXESS arena on 30/31 May 2015. Fans can still secure their tickets in categories 2 and 3 in the ehfFINAL4.com ticket shop and VIP tickets can also be purchased. The second phase of ticket sales will begin in September 2014 with the start of the VELUX EHF Champions League season. Commenting on the huge level of interest in the next edition of Europe’s biggest club handball event, Peter Vargo, Managing Director of EHF Marketing GmbH, said: “The VELUX EHF FINAL4 has become one of the biggest indoor sports events in Europe. Its mix of spectacular entertainment and top-class handball means that the VELUX EHF FINAL4 is the event every handball fan needs to experience.” Sporting and entertainment highlight In its fifth year, the VELUX EHF FINAL4 set new standards with spectacular entertainment shows and some of the most exciting handball action in the event’s short history – with the semi-final match between FC Barcelona and SG Flensburg-Handewitt the first VELUX EHF FINAL4 match to be decided on penalties. Over the past five years, 11 different top men’s clubs from six nations have competed at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 for the ultimate title in club handball. German side THW Kiel has won the title at the event twice and the teams from FC Barcelona, HSV Hamburg and SG Flensburg-Handewitt have each won once in Cologne.
