NEWS REPORT: All clubs of the continent’s premium competition are to discover their group companions in the Women’s EHF Champions League

Time to learn fate for Europe’s best

Following the Thursday’s qualification draw of the Women’s EHF Champions League the biggest European club names have their turn on Friday as the group matches draw is to be carried out at the Gartenhotel Altmannsdorf in Vienna on Friday at 18:00 hrs.

All 14 teams directly seeded for the group matches including the defending champions Györi Audi ETO KC are waiting in four pots.

The draw starts with teams from the Pot 1 and continues all the way down to the Pot 3. As teams from the same country cannot face each other, the further procedure will be adjusted by allocating the two qualification winners from the Pot 4 into the groups in order to apply a country protection. Only after that, other two teams from the pot will be drawn.

Seeding for the group matches draw:

Pot 1: Györi Audi ETO KC (HUN), WHC Buducnost (MNE), Larvik HK (NOR), RK Krim Ljubljana (SLO)
Pot 2: Viborg HK (DEN), HCM Baia Mare (ROU), Thüringer HC (GER), Dinamo-Sinara Volgograd (RUS)
Pot 3: WHC Vardar SCBT (MKD), Metz Handball (FRA), Hypo Niederösterreich (AUT), RK Lokomotiva Zagreb (CRO)
Pot 4: IK Sävehof (SWE), MKS Selgros Lublin (POL), winner of Qualification Group 1, winner of Qualification Group 2
