Youth coaches workshop premiere in LinzFrom 30 July to 3 August 14 young handball coaches from across Europe will delve deeper into the game, when the EHF Young Coaches Workshop takes place in Linz. "This is the first time we organise such a workshop format and the interest we received was great," says Nicole Rabenseifner who organises the seminar on behalf of the European Handball Federation. The EHF received 25 applications for the 14 places which are evenly divided between male and female coaches. All of them are younger than 28 years. Participants arrive on Wednesday night (30 July) and then enjoy four full days of theoretical and practical sessions. They have to prepare two training sessions - not only on paper but actively conduct them with the current Austrian men's youth national team made up of players born in 1998 or younger. The workshop's two main lecturers, Peter Kovacs and Milan Petronijevic, will provide immediate feedback. Mental coach Jürgen boss will furthermore educate the participants in fields such as communication, team bonding and occuring challenges such as transfers. For more information the workshop leaflet is available for download.
