VELUX Robokeeper to visit the German “Day of handball”

Watch out handball fans. On Saturday 6 September, the VELUX Robokeeper, known as the fastest handball goalkeeper in the world, challenges visitors to a penalty shootout at the German "Day of handball” in Frankfurt's Commerzbank-Arena, where there will also be tickets for the 2015 VELUX EHF FINAL4 on 30 and 31 May up for grabs.

44,000 tickets for the handball event in the Commerzbank-Arena have already been sold, which is set to break the world record for attendance at a handball game standing at 36,651 visitors to the Danish League Final in 2011.

In addition to a youth tournament with 80 teams and a celebrity match between teams led by former handball star Stefan Kretzschmar and television presenter Frank Buschmann, the “Day of handball” will see Rhein-Neckar Löwen take on VELUX EHF Champions League winner HSV Hamburg and the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will be present all day long.

"The top game between a current VELUX EHF Champions League participant and the 2013 champions in front of such an audience offers a great opportunity to increase the popularity of handball and thereby foster the next generation.

“We are very pleased that the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will be represented at this event and can get participants active and excited with the help of the RoboKeeper," said VELUX EHF FINAL4 Team Leader David Szlezak.

The challenge of defeating the RoboKeeper is not the all the VELUX EHF FINAL4 has to offer. At the dedicated stand, visitors can win tickets to the final weekend of the VELUX EHF Champions League on 30 and 31 May 2015 in Cologne’s LANXESS arena.

In addition, Anett Sattler, who has moderated the VELUX EHF FINAL4 for the last two years, will be present at a celebrity RoboKeeper shootout from 15:00 hrs. with a number of stars, including Lars Christiansen to get fans warmed up for the celebrity match on court.
